BlizzCon 2026 did something rare: it gave Blizzard’s pipeline dates. Between the opening ceremony and the follow-up reveals, the studio’s next four years now have public windows — from a new WoW experience shipping this November to a StarCraft revival dated for 2030. This is the complete, dated ledger.

What this covers: Every Blizzard product with a confirmed or officially implied window, sorted by date — plus the undated projects to watch. Why it matters: Blizzard has historically avoided dating anything far out; a four-year public roadmap is itself the news. Time to read: About 6 minutes.

The undated and in-development

  • Netflix Diablo animated series — in development, no date, format, or cast announced.
  • WoW: The Last Titan — the Worldsoul Saga finale; first info promised early 2027.
  • Heroes of the Storm — Blizzard says “there may be even more to come” beyond Xal’atath; nothing dated.
  • Overwatch Season 5 (live now at BlizzCon): Doctrine the vampire Support, Sombra/Roadhog reworks, Watchpoint: Grimsvötn, Reign of Talon’s conclusion.
  • Warcraft III ReforgedForsaken Kingdom campaign shipped already; future content unannounced.

Reading the strategy

Three patterns stand out. Back-catalog as active IP: Forever, Reforged 3.0, and the HotS hero are all investment in things Blizzard already owns — cheap relative to new IP, and aimed at the nostalgia demographic Microsoft’s platform strategy favors. Dating as discipline: StarCraft 2030 and Diablo V 2029 are long-dated public commitments, and leadership explicitly framed the dates as accountability tools. The two-sequel bet: announcing numbered sequels (V, and effectively StarCraft 2’s successor) while both parents (D4, SC: Remastered-era silence) still run — the biggest structural gamble of the list, since it splits audience attention four years out.

The honest read

A roadmap this long will slip somewhere — that’s not cynicism, it’s Blizzard’s own track record (Overwatch 2’s PvE, anyone). The value isn’t the individual dates; it’s that the shape is now public and countable: Blizzard intends to ship something major every year through 2030. Hold them to that cadence — the interesting failures will be the ones that don’t make it.
