The “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label on a game box is not a single feature. It is Sony’s umbrella term for a set of optional upgrades a developer can apply, and the specific combination varies by title. Some Enhanced games add ray tracingray tracing. A rendering technique that simulates how light bounces, for realistic shadows, reflections, and lighting — costly to compute. that was absent on the base PS5; some push a 60 fpsframerate. How many images (frames) the game shows per second; higher = smoother motion. 60 fps is a common target. target that previously required dropping to 30; some lean on PSSR upscaling to reach 4K output; and the best of them do all three at once. This is a running list of what the label actually means, title by title.

What “Enhanced” means in general

Sony’s definition is deliberately broad. On its official PS5 Pro product page, the company states that compatible games can be played at 60 fps, or up to 120 fps, with ray tracing and AI-enhanced 4K resolution using PSSR, all at the same time, on a 4K TV. The qualifier is the word “can”: not every Enhanced title uses every lever. Sony is explicit that PS5 Pro enhanced features vary by game, and the label simply means the game has been patched to take advantage of one or more of the console’s upgraded capabilities compared with the base PS5.

The four levers an Enhanced game can pull are: upgraded GPUGPU. Graphics Processing Unit — the chip that renders the game's visuals; the main driver of framerate and image quality. throughput (Sony cites 67% more Compute Units and 28% faster memory, for up to 45% faster rendering); advanced ray tracing (rays cast at double, and at times triple, the speed of the base PS5); PSSR upscaling for sharper 4K output; and higher or more consistent frame rates, including 120 fps support where the display allows. A game earns the Enhanced label by using some subset of these meaningfully.

The launch roster

At launch on November 7, 2024, Sony confirmed more than 50 Enhanced titles. The launch roster, as published by Sony, includes:

Alan Wake 2, Albatroz, Apex Legends, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Baldur’s Gate 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, EA Sports College Football 25, Dead Island 2, Demon’s Souls, Diablo IV, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Dying Light 2 Reloaded Edition, EA Sports FC 25, Enlisted, F1 24, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, God of War Ragnarök, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Kayak VR: Mirage, Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen (2023), Madden NFL 25, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Naraka: Bladepoint, NBA 2K25, No Man’s Sky, Palworld, Paladin’s Passage, Planet Coaster 2, Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, Rise of the Ronin, Rogue Flight, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Star Wars: Outlaws, Stellar Blade, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, The Crew Motorfest, The Finals, The First Descendant, The Last of Us Part I, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Until Dawn, War Thunder, Warframe, and World of Warships: Legends.

Sony noted in an update that PS5 Pro enhancements for Arma Reforger and The Callisto Protocol would be scheduled after the November 7 launch, so those two titles joined the Enhanced roster shortly after release rather than on day one.

Per-title breakdown of what changes

Sony collected developer commentary for many flagship Enhanced titles, and the specifics reveal how differently the label is applied.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Insomniac Games). Insomniac’s Mike Fitzgerald describes a default Performance Pro mode that marries the crisp 4K resolution and ray tracing of Fidelity mode with the 60 frames per second of Performance mode, plus a Fidelity Pro mode with additional ray-traced rendering features. This is the “all three levers at once” archetype of an Enhanced title.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (Insomniac Games). Same pattern as the Spider-Man titles: a default Performance Pro mode combining 4K and ray tracing with 60 fps, plus a Fidelity Pro mode with new ray-traced rendering features.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered and The Last of Us Part I (Naughty Dog). Vincent Marxen describes a PS5 Pro-specific enhanced rendering mode that renders at 1440p and upscales to 4K via PSSR while maintaining a 60 fps target. This is the PSSR-plus-framerate pattern, with ray tracing not the headline.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Square Enix). Naoki Hamaguchi states the enhanced mode runs at 60 fps and uses PSSR to achieve a resolution on par with the graphics mode, enriching the world, combat, and cutscene rendering. PSSR and 60 fps are the levers here.

Horizon Forbidden West (Guerrilla). Jan-Bart van Beek says PS5 Pro delivers a visual quality that matches or surpasses the base PS5’s Quality mode but now at 60 fps, doubling the frame rate. This is a frame-rate-led enhancement.

Alan Wake 2 (Remedy Entertainment). Thomas Puha notes ray tracing is added as a brand-new feature, and that the 60 fps Performance mode has been improved with output resolution raised to 4K. Ray tracing plus resolution uplift, with PSSR later upgraded via the 2026 firmware.

Stellar Blade (Shift Up). Dongki Lee cites 4K resolution at 50 fps or more with smoother gameplay and improved grain and detail in PSSR upscale mode, plus an HFR option allowing 80 fps on a 120Hz display. Resolution, PSSR, and a high-frame-rate option.

Rise of the Ronin (Team Ninja / Koei Tecmo). Fumihiko Yasuda highlights high-framerate katana action plus greater graphical detail in the renditions of Yokohama, Edo, and Kyoto. Frame-rate-led with detail uplift.

Metal Gear Solid Delta (Konami). Yuji Korekado points to PSSR making the jungle vegetation more vivid and better framerates throughout. PSSR-led.

Gran Turismo 7 (Polyphony). Shuichi Takano describes supporting ray tracing during races, previously impossible, allowing car surfaces to show full reflections of other cars and even self-reflection. Ray tracing is the defining enhancement here.

Resident Evil 4 (Capcom). Capcom cites a higher framerate and ultra-high-resolution technology for vividly realistic imagery. Frame-rate plus upscaling.

Titles moving to the upgraded PSSR

A second category of enhancement arrived with the March 2026 firmware. The upgraded PSSR is a drop-in replacement that improves temporal stability and fine-detail reconstruction, and Sony confirmed a set of titles adopting it. From the official PlayStation Blog and product page, the titles supporting Enhanced PSSR include: Resident Evil Requiem, SILENT HILL f, SILENT HILL 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Alan Wake 2, Control, Monster Hunter Wilds, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Nioh 3, Rise of the Ronin, Crimson Desert, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Cyberpunk 2077.

Developer testimony on the upgraded PSSR is specific. Square Enix notes that in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, fine details such as character hair are naturally restored and image processing is more stable with less flickering and afterimage feeling. Capcom, on Resident Evil Requiem, says the upgraded PSSR successfully processed intricate hair and beard detail that is traditionally difficult to upscale. Remedy, on Control and Alan Wake 2, describes improved image upscaling quality and stability and faster response to visibility changes. Konami, on SILENT HILL f, cites clearer grass and ground shadows. IO Interactive, on 007 First Light (launching with upgraded PSSR enabled by default), reports substantially reduced shimmering and flickering and better temporal stability under motion, with integration completed in about a day and no per-scene tuning required.

How to use the list

For a PS5 Pro owner the practical question is which lever matters most. If ray tracing is the priority, Insomniac’s Spider-Man titles, Ratchet & Clank, Alan Wake 2, and Gran Turismo 7 are the clearest demonstrations. If 60 fps at fidelity is the priority, Horizon Forbidden West, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and The Last of Us titles deliver. If upscaling sharpness is the priority, the upgraded-PSSR roster above is where the most current ML reconstruction work is concentrated, and turning on the “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” system setting applies the new upscaler to any PSSR-supported title even outside that roster.

Sony states most new PS5 Pro titles will launch with support for the enhanced PSSR going forward, so this list is expected to grow rather than remain static. The list above reflects the titles Sony has officially confirmed through its blog and product page as of August 2026.
