AION 2’s Global servers went down at 23:30 PDT on 13 October 2026 and came back with three things at once: the game’s first seasonal event, a live character-transfer service, and a short list of class fixes. NC’s own patch note splits the update into Shop, Class Changes and Halloween Event, and the Shop section only exists because of the transfers — two items left the Wind Breeze Merchants for the duration, and the Odyle Energy purchase cap was rebuilt around characters instead of servers.
The Halloween half is straightforward: log in, collect coins, spend them. The transfer half is the one with a deadline attached — an account gets one move for the entire two-week window, and it cannot be reversed.
What changed: AION 2’s 13/14 October maintenance opened the Trick or Treat event until the 3/4 November maintenance, started a two-week server-transfer period, rebuilt two Odyle Energy caps, and fixed four Spiritmaster and Sorcerer skills. Why it matters: the transfer is free but single-use, and it is the first chance Global players have to rejoin friends after launch split them across factions, regions and server types. Who should care: AION 2 players who grouped up on the wrong server, anyone who wants the Halloween cosmetics before the 24/25 November sale ends, and Sorcerers waiting on the elevation bugs.

For players who joined on launch day and are still deciding where to settle, the launch primer on classes, factions and servers covers the structural half of that decision; this patch is the half with a calendar.
Server transfers: one move per account, two weeks long
NC’s Server Transfer Products notice splits the service into two one-week windows. Early Access servers are eligible from after the 13 October (PDT) maintenance, which is 14 October in Europe and UTC, until before the 20 October (PDT) / 21 October (CEST) maintenance. Launch servers follow, from after that maintenance until before the 27 October (PDT) / 28 October (CET) one. Transfers from an Early Access server can only go to another Early Access server, so the two weeks do not overlap for a single character.
The price is the part most players will check first. The base product costs 0 Quna and each transferred character costs 0 Quna. The only charge is 1,000 Quna for every extra character slot the destination server has to provide — NC’s worked example moves six characters to a server with four free slots and bills 2,000 Quna for the two extra slots. Purchase limits are once per account, and one account may move from one server to one other server, with no cap on how many characters go in that single move.
Application hours depend on the region, because NC only opens the request window for part of each day. In Central European time, European servers accept requests from 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 CEST/CET, which are 03:00–07:00 and 09:00–13:00 PDT. North America East, North America West and South America use 09:00–13:00 and 15:00–19:00 PDT, and Asia uses 20:00 to 00:00 and 02:00 to 06:00 PDT. Outside those hours, the Server Transfer page in the Shop reports the service as unavailable — NC’s Q&A says that message also appears when applications to leave a server have closed.
Those closures are real, and NC warned about them separately. An advance notice on server transfer limits states that each server has a transfer capacity limit, that a transfer is impossible once either the origin or the destination server has reached it, and that transfers may be temporarily restricted to keep the process stable.
What travels with the character, and what stays
| What | What NC says happens |
|---|---|
| Inventory and Character Storage | Move with their items and Kina, plus any Character Storage slots bought |
| Server Storage | Items and Kina stay on the origin server; only the higher expansion count carries |
| Character slot expansions | Stay on the origin server |
| Quna and Mileage | Transfer in full and are added to the destination balances |
| Membership | Transfers, combines with the destination server’s Membership, and is removed from the origin |
| Daeva Pass | Moves with its progress |
| Character name | Always reset to “@TemporaryName”; a new name is chosen at first login |
| Pets, Closet Skins, Titles | Moved to the destination and removed from the origin server |
| Abyss time, Season points, quests | Move with the character, including remaining reward counts |
The conditions are worth reading before the deadline rather than after it. A character has to be level 10 or higher, standing in a village — not in the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon — not in a Legion and with no Legion application pending, and with no active Duty Missions. Nothing may be left unclaimed: no Market listings, uncollected items or unreceived proceeds, nothing sitting in Shop Storage including the Founder’s Pack, and no unread mail on the character being moved. Destination and origin must share a factionfaction. An in-game group or nation players can align with or fight against, with its own goals and reputation system. and a region.
Guided.news, summarising NC’s transfer notices, puts the practical implication plainly: Server Storage contents, the Kina held there, and character-slot expansions already used on the origin server do not move, so items worth keeping belong in the character’s inventory or Character Storage first.
Trick or Treat: where the coins come from
The Halloween event runs from after the 13 October maintenance until before the 3 November 2026 (PST) maintenance, which is 4 November in Central European time. Its currency is the Halloween Pumpkin Coin, and there are two ways to earn it.
The first is the Trick or Treat attendance book in the in-game Attendance menu. Days 1 through 6 pay 35 coins each, day 7 pays 100, days 8 through 13 pay 35 again, and day 14 pays another 100. The Attendance resets daily at 12:00 AM PDT, or 09:00 CEST.
The second is a new Event tab in Season Missions, which pays coins for ten tasks.
| Mission | Task | Coins |
|---|---|---|
| Abyss | Hunt 10 monsters in the Abyss | 25 |
| Transcendence | Clear a Transcendence Dungeon once | 25 |
| Expedition | Clear an Expedition Conquest once | 25 |
| Ascension Trial | Clear the Ascension Trial once | 25 |
| Nightmare | Clear once, any stage | 25 |
| Log in | Log in 3 times | 30 |
| Obtain Gear | Obtain 1 piece of Unique Gear | 20 |
| Use a Scroll | Use 5 Scrolls | 20 |
| Dimensional Invasion | Participate once | 20 |
| Shugo Festival | Participate once | 20 |
NC lists “once per week per server” as the reset for the Abyss mission and leaves the other rows without a printed reset, so treat the weekly figure as the one NC states outright.
The Coin Merchant NPC stands in each town: for Elyos in Verteron at the Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village, for Asmodians in Altgard at Safe Haven and the Nornir Assembly. The headline purchase is the Special Halloween Chest at 250 coins, limited to one per server, which unpacks a Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. Odyle Energy (Bound) costs 10 coins with a limit of four per server per week at level 45, and the Lower Abyss Rift Stone (Bound) costs 30 coins twice per server per week.
Two consumables run for five minutes each. Halloween Candy (Bound) grants Attack 25, Defense 250, Max Stamina 300 and 40% natural stamina regeneration. Halloween Cookie (Bound) swaps the attack and defense for Max HP 500 and Max MP 250, on top of the same stamina figures.
Candy Keys: 60 fragments, one key, three colours
Candy Key Fragments drop from Expedition and Transcendence Dungeons. Sixty fragments convert into one key at 100% success, once per week per server, for each of the three colours — red, yellow and blue. A single fragment converts into ten Superior Power Shards with no morphing limit listed, which makes excess fragments something other than dead weight. The candies sit around the towns: Red holds 20 Growth Pet Chests, 10 Battle Enhance Scrolls and five of each consumable; Yellow holds 10,000 Abyss Points, 10 Life Crystals and five of each; Blue holds four Odyle Energy (Bound), 10 Resurrection Spiritstones and five of each.
NC also published removal dates, which matter more than usual here. The Special Halloween Chest, Resurrection Spiritstone, Instant Clear Ticket, Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Ticket and Shugo Festival Reward Key all disappear on 15 December 2026 at 11:00 PM PST, 16 December at 08:00 CET. The Candy and Cookie go earlier, on 3 November 2026 at 11:00 PM PST, 4 November at 08:00 CET.
The shop change that only exists because of the transfers
Two items moved out of Shop > Wind Breeze Merchants > Special to Substance Morph > Special > Wind Breeze Merchants for the transfer period: the Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound) and the Soul Crystal (Bound). NC’s Q&A explains the reasoning in the same breath — normally those two are limited purchases, and during a transfer they are not sold at all, with the same quantities obtainable through Substance Morph instead.
Odyle Energy was handled the other way around. Its weekly limit of 16 per server was removed outright, and the weekly per-character limit rose from 4 to 20. NC’s Q&A says why: Odyle Energy is normally subject to a server-wide purchase limit, and during the transfer period it becomes a character-based limit. Read against the same document’s rule that server-based purchase counts resolve to the higher of the two servers’ totals, the direction is consistent — a cap that follows the character cannot hand a mover extra purchases.
The Conquerors of the Abyss event is the other half of the shop story. From after the 13 October (PDT) maintenance until before the 27 October one, the Lower Abyss Rift Stone (7 Days) (Bound) sells for 50,000 Kina, seven per character per week, to characters of level 45 or higher. It recharges Lower Abyss usage time by one hour, is valid for seven days from acquisition and is deleted automatically after that.
Sorcerer and Spiritmaster: four fixes, one of them a summon
NC’s class changes for this patch are bug fixes rather than balance. The Spiritmaster entry is a single line: Summon: Ancient Spirit summons at level 15 or below were not activating their skills properly, and that is now fixed.
The Sorcerer entry is three skills, and two of them share a cause. Fire Wall was not applying its bonus damage during combat when there was a difference in elevation, and its Embers effect could be removed by another player’s stronger Embers. Cold Storm had the identical pair of problems with its bonus damage and its Frostbite effect. Bittercold Wind was not applying its Frost Cooldown Reduction properly when an elevation difference was in play.
Three skills, three elevation bugs, and two debuff-stealing bugs on top — nothing in this patch raises or lowers Sorcerer damage by design.
Abyss entry, Y-axis and the rest of the fix list
The maximum accumulated time for Abyss entry becomes 7 hours. Abyss Entry Stones can now also be earned from two Season Missions: spending one hour in the Abyss, and defeating the Boss Guardian Lord Nahma once.
The quality-of-life and stability items are unglamorous but specific. Standard stats in the Battlefield are adjusted so battles last an appropriate length, and stuttering during large-scale Abyss battles is reduced — aimed at the server-versus-server fights the game is built around. Settings gains a Y-axis inversion option and a way to show or hide HP bars under “Show My Nameplate”, and the Market restricts listing gathering materials based on gameplay history.
On the client side, NC fixed graphics settings being configured incorrectly on PCs with two graphics cards, crashes at certain refresh rates on 4K monitors, longer loading times with FSR enabled, and player positions resetting on reconnect during the Shugo Festival.
Halloween cosmetics, and the date to watch
The Halloween shop runs from after the 14 October maintenance until before the 24 November (PST) / 25 November (CET) maintenance. Three armour sets — Monarch of Blood, Midnight Witch and Midnight Slasher — cost $29.99 each with 4,350 mileage. Eight Halloween Night weapon skins cost $11.99 each and are class-locked, one per class from Gladiator through Chanter. The Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost pets are $19.99 each, limited to one per server, and Spider Wings are $19.99 once per character. Helm and decor skins cost 300 Quna each; NC notes the prices sit in the Purple Store and may vary by store.
That 24/25 November date is also the expiry on the transfer refund tickets for duplicate pets and skins, so a mover who ends up with a duplicate has a ticket to spend before the maintenance rather than a permanent problem.
What to do before the windows close
Three deadlines sit inside one patch and they are not the same deadline. The Early Access transfer window closes at the 20/21 October maintenance; the whole transfer offer ends at the 27/28 October one; the Halloween event runs to 3/4 November; the cosmetics stay on sale to 24/25 November.
For anyone who spent launch week in the wrong place, the sequence is mechanical: pick the destination, confirm it shares your faction and region, check its free character slots against the 1,000 Quna-per-slot charge, clear Market listings, Shop Storage and mail, leave the Legion, and apply inside your region’s windows. Miss them and the next opportunity is the launch-server week — or nothing, since NC says the product may be sold again in the same or a similar form without naming a date or price.
