Look Outside is leaving PC exclusivity. Devolver Digital has dated the console ports for October 30, bringing the survival horror RPGRPG. Role-Playing Game — a game built around character progression, story, and player choices. to PS5, PS4, Switch 2 and Switch at once — a same-day, four-platform launch rather than the staggered rollout most indie ports get.

What changed: Devolver Digital confirmed an October 30 console release for Look Outside on PS5, PS4, Switch 2 and Switch. Why it matters: The game built its reputation on PC last year, and a simultaneous four-platform launch puts it in front of the console audience that never saw it. Who should care: RPG players who passed on the PC release, and anyone tracking how Devolver schedules its ports.

What the port has to carry over

Look Outside arrived on PC last year and landed in RPG Site’s top five RPGs of 2025 — a strong result for a game that trades on tension rather than spectacle. The console release is the test of whether that reputation survives the move to a controller and to hardware with a wider performance range.

Devolver announced the ports alongside new key art rather than a gameplay walkthrough, so the mechanical questions are still open: whether the interface has been rebuilt for gamepad, and whether the Switch version — the oldest hardware in the list — keeps the same pacing. The four-platform spread is the part worth watching. PS4 and Switch 1 are both long-lived machines, and a simultaneous launch across them alongside PS5 and Switch 2 implies the port was scoped for the lower end first.

What is still unconfirmed

No price point has been announced for the console versions. That matters more than usual here: the PC release has had a year of discounts, so console buyers will be paying launch price for a game that is already a known quantity elsewhere. Devolver has not said whether the console releases include any of the post-launch PC content in the box.

The other open question is timing against the rest of the season. October 30 sits four days before a crowded early-November window, which gives Look Outside a narrow gap to make its case before larger releases take over storefront front pages.

Forward look

The console versions arrive on October 30, with pricing expected to be confirmed before launch. If the ports hold up on Switch 1 and PS4, Look Outside gets a second life outside the PC storefront it launched on — and a same-day release across four platforms suggests Devolver expects it to.
