Lost Ark’s 2026 endgame is built around the Tier 4 item-level curve, the Kazeros Raid ladder, and the February 2026 launch of the Guardianknight class. Between the progression revamp in the Guardians’ Rage update, the July and August Extreme raid additions, and the revamped Skill Recommendation system, choosing a class and build for each encounter is now a clearer but more layered decision than it was during Tier 3.

This guide walks through the current endgame raid ladder, the class-identity facts that should drive your build picks, and how the new Skill Code system changes how you share and copy a build. Everything is grounded in the official Guardians’ Rage release notes (February 3, 2026), the official Ends of the Abyss release notes (March 10, 2026), the Summer of Extremes release notes (July 15, 2026), and the August 11, 2026 Bitter Cold release notes.

What changed in 2026

Three official updates define the 2026 build landscape:

  • Guardians’ Rage (February 3, 2026) added the Guardianknight class, a halberd-and-Incarnation specialist who fills the Embereth Orb Gauge through successful attacks and then enters a fast Incarnation state with empowered skills. The same update removed the gear honing system for content up to lower-tier Ancient gear in Tier 3 and below, and lowered honing costs for Tier 3 Akkan gear and Tier 4 gear.
  • Ends of the Abyss (March 10, 2026) is the official conclusion of the Kazeros storyline, with attached balance changes and Guardian Raid improvements.
  • The Bitter Cold (August 11, 2026) added Kazeros Raid: Act 2 Extreme, a limited-time Extreme difficulty version of the Act 2 Brelshaza encounter with Normal, Hard, and Nightmare tiers.

The progression changes mean that a player reaching Tier 4 in 2026 has a shorter pre-endgame grind than in previous years, and the raid ladder has effectively become the primary endgame.

How the endgame raid ladder works in 2026

Based on the official release notes, the current endgame content is split into two groups: the original Legion Raids and the Tier 4 Kazeros Raids.

Legion Raids

  • Valtan — 2 gates; gold totals rebalanced in Guardians’ Rage.
  • Vykas — 2 gates; gold totals rebalanced.
  • Kakul-Saydon — 3 gates; gold totals rebalanced.
  • Brelshaza — 4 gates on Normal and Hard, with a Solo mode; the Extreme difficulty added in August 2026 applies to Kazeros Raid: Act 2, not to this original Tier 3 Legion Raid.
  • Akkan — 3 gates; gold totals rebalanced.
  • Thaemine (Darkness Legion Commander) — 4 gates on Hard; the Guardians’ Rage gold rebalance lowered the Hard-mode total rather than raising it.

The Ivory Tower of Chaos is an Abyssal Dungeon, not a Legion Raid. It has 4 gates and Normal/Hard difficulties, and its gold totals were also rebalanced in Guardians’ Rage.

The Inferno Difficulty tier was removed from Legion Raids in the Guardians’ Rage update, so all current Legion Raids use Normal, Hard, or Solo Mode.

Kazeros Raids

  • Kazeros Raid: Overture (Echidna) — 2 gates; major gold rebalance.
  • Kazeros Raid: Act 1 (Aegir) — 2 gates; major gold rebalance.
  • Kazeros Raid: Act 2 (Brelshaza) — 2 gates on Normal, Hard, and Solo; the August 2026 Bitter Cold patch added a limited-time Extreme mode with Normal, Hard, and Nightmare tiers.
  • Kazeros Raid: Act 3 (Mordum) — 3 gates; gold rebalanced.
  • Kazeros Raid: Act 4 (Fortress of Destruction) — 2 gates (Gate 1 Echidna, Gate 2 Armoche); Normal and Hard, with Solo Mode added in the Summer of Extremes update. Normal mode is included in the Mokoko Bootcamp event.

How engravings and stats line up per class (confirmed mechanics only)

Lost Ark’s build system has two layers: Class Engravings that define the archetype and combat stats that scale it. The official release notes added the revamped Skill Recommendation system, which now bundles Gems, Engravings, and Ark Passives into a single recommended build, and the Skill Code system, which lets you share or import a build as a code string.

Confirmed in patch notes

  • Guardianknight (new class, February 2026): Uses halberd attacks and channeled Incarnation abilities. The Embereth Orb Gauge fills through “each successful attack” and unlocks the Incarnation state. Players can take a Class Awakening Quest for the class. Sixteen new achievements, a new title, a new trophy, and a Training Room Guide shipped alongside it.
  • Artillerist: The Guardians’ Rage patch notes fixed the Firepower Meter so it no longer decreases when interacting with a wire after Clash, getting hit, or being affected by Telekinesis in Barrage Mode. This makes Barrage Mode rotations more stable.
  • Summoner: The Elcid Ice Seed skill tree description was updated; re-check tripod choices against the new wording.
  • Aeromancer: The patch notes list only a visual-effect improvement for Current Shield, with no confirmed mechanical change.

Build system changes everyone gets

The Skill Recommendation revamp and Skill Code system apply to every class. The system recommends commonly used combinations of Gems, Engravings, and Ark Passives for up to 10 skills, and Skill Codes capture Skills, Tripods, Gems, Engravings, and Ark Passives from the currently applied preset.

Which classes clear which raids (confirmed patterns)

The official sources do not publish a class tier list, and this article does not attempt to create one. What the sources do confirm are class-identity facts that should drive your build picks:

  • Bard, Paladin, and Artist: The Guardians’ Rage patch notes do not list any support-class nerfs, so their core identities and support engravings remain intact.
  • Guardianknight: The patch notes describe the Incarnation state as granting “vastly increased destructive force to annihilate enemies.” That makes it a burst-oriented class suited to fights with long damage windows where you can build to full Incarnation.
  • Artillerist: The Firepower Meter fix means Barrage Mode is less likely to lose meter unexpectedly, which helps builds that rely on sustained Barrage uptime.
  • Summoner: The updated Elcid Ice Seed description may change optimal tripod selections for that build.

For the new Kazeros Raid: Act 2 Extreme difficulty, the official notes confirm Normal, Hard, and Nightmare tiers but do not name class-specific recommendations. The safest general advice is to follow the revamped Skill Recommendation tool, since it now reads your progression level and suggests builds accordingly — but that guidance is community-driven and not in the official source.

Build path: a 2026 progression path

Grounded only in what the official notes confirm:

  1. Get to Tier 4 with the progression revamp. Honing was removed for Tier 3 and below lower-tier Ancient gear; Tier 3 Akkan and Tier 4 gear costs were reduced. Tier 3 Akkan gear is the first honing tier, at Item Level 1525.
  2. Use the Event Powerpass and Challenge Express if you qualify. The Powerpass drops you at Item Level 1640 in Elnead; Challenge Express runs Item Level 1640–1701 with material discounts, success rate boosts, and gold reductions. Per the patch notes, it is “built to help players quickly reach 1700.”
  3. Apply a starter build from the Skill Recommendation system. Up to 10 skills are recommended based on popularity, with Gems, Engravings, and Ark Passives included. Use Smart Recommendation for progression-aware picks or the Save Selection button for the popular build.
  4. Run endgame raids in tier order. The quest-gear system now grants sets that meet the Item Level required to enter the next continent.
  5. Generate or import a Skill Code once your build is set. Codes capture Skills, Tripods, Gems, Engravings, and Ark Passives — share with guildmates or import a top build.
  6. Earn Engraving slots at lower Item Levels. The 4th slot moved from 1370 to 1340, and the 5th from 1540 to 1520, so full 5-engraving builds unlock earlier.

Engraving and stat priorities (confirmed mechanics only)

The official sources confirm the build-system mechanics but do not prescribe per-class Engraving priorities. What is confirmed:

  • 5 Engraving slots are now reachable by Item Level 1520.
  • Skill Recommendation and Skill Codes both include Engravings.

Community tier lists remain the practical source for specific class-engraving choices.

Confirmed vs upcoming

Confirmed (in the official 2026 release notes):

  • Guardianknight class with Embereth Orb Gauge and Incarnation state.
  • Progression system revamp with honing removed for Tier 3 and below lower-tier Ancient gear.
  • Skill Recommendation revamp covering Skills, Gems, Engravings, and Ark Passives.
  • Skill Code sharing system.
  • Engraving slot Item Level requirements lowered (4th slot to 1340, 5th to 1520).
  • Inferno Difficulty removed from Legion Raids.
  • Kazeros Raid: Act 2 Extreme added in August 2026 with Normal, Hard, and Nightmare tiers.
  • Bulk Honing, Bulk Quality Upgrade, Bulk Karma Upgrade, and Smart Ability Stone Facet added as quality-of-life tools.
  • Specific class fixes: Artillerist Firepower Meter, Summoner Elcid description, Aeromancer Current Shield visuals.

Upcoming (mentioned in official 2026 communications but not yet detailed):

  • The Warpweaver class, planned for September 2026.
  • The Base Camp progression event and 2026 Global Exclusive skin variant.
  • Further Shadow Raid content after the Chapter 1 conclusion.
  • The August 2026 server merge.

What it means

For a 2026 player, the path to endgame is narrower and build sharing is much better. You hit Tier 4 faster because honing for Tier 3 lower-tier Ancient gear was removed, unlock 5 Engraving slots at Item Level 1520, and can copy a recommended build with a Skill Code. New players benefit from the Event Powerpass at Item Level 1640 and the Challenge Express pushing toward Item Level 1700, plus the Skill Recommendation system that applies a community-popular build with one click. Veterans gain Skill Codes that replace much of the manual work of keeping a build current.
